Evans Heat Treating originally started as the Drever Heat Treating Company in 1939, which was an offshoot of the Drever Furnace Company.
In 1991, the company was put up for sale, and some of the
employees expressed an interest in purchasing it. Ultimately it was purchased by two employees: Lee Evans and William Burnick. After the sale, it continued as Drever-Evans until 2002, when the Drever Furnace Company was sold and their offices in Huntingdon Valley
were closed.
The Heat Treating side continues today as Evans Heat
Treating.
